Well, just when my employers thought they appeased me with my own cubicle, I
began to squawk about my pay scale. Legal secretaries in county offices
make much less than legal secretaries in the private sector. Our Labor
Relations Administrator has asked me to find out what the "going
rates" are for legal secretaries in our area. Then we can come up
with some kind of proposal to present to County Council to try to get my salary
(and those of my co-workers) raised to an equitable level.
Do you have any suggestions where I could get this information, other than just
asking around?
Thanks much. And Happy New Year!
Signed,

Dear
Raising:
I think some of the sites listed below will give you the information you seek. Some will be good for others seeking raises (or at least reasons to feel happy or angry about their current pay) in different fields. Good luck in your negotiations for more money!
WEGO always prepares evidence in support of its claims and requests!
